Christmas cheer for manufacturers: Growth lifts following a surge in consumer
activity
After six months of moderate growth, manufacturing activity lifted sharply in
December due to a late rush of new orders and supplier deliveries, with the
Australian Industry Group - PricewaterhouseCoopers Australian Performance of
Manufacturing Index (PMI) rising to 60.8 (after
