Keim® Ecosil

Keim® Ecosil is an easy to use internal paint for walls & ceilings. Providing
a dense opaque matt finish in a wide range of pastel shades, it is suitable for both unpainted and painted substrates
including dry lining and anaglyptas. It is a water-borne silicate based paint that uses inorganic fillers and pigments. Economical Keim® Ecosil is generally applied as a 2 coat system, and eliminates the need for a mist coat. According to an independent cost survey Keim® Ecosil is equivalent in cost to an applied vinyl silk emulsion system. |
| Fire Resistant Keim® Ecosil is inherently non-combustible achieving Class O rating - the highest possible product performance classification (fire test reports available on request). This meets building regulations which stipulate that "internal linings (walls, ceilings or other internal structure) shall resist the spread of flame over the surface" - part B Schedule 1 1991. Environmentally Safe Keim® Ecosil is waterborne, odourless and non-toxic. It is solvent free with constituents (potassium silicate, mineral fillers and earth oxide pigments) which are inorganic and fully compatible with todays mineral building materials. Keim®'s production process are low energy consumers and produce no noxious emissions. In use Ecosil is harmless to the decorator and there are no slow release emissions in service. Anti Condensation and Breathable Keim® Ecosil forms a micro-crystalline structure with the substate to which it is applied, thereby allowing for the free passage of vapour whilst preventing the ingress of moisture. Steam does not condense on the surface, being held in the substrate and slowly given back to the atmosphere. Ecosil is an anticondensation coating that does not impair teh vapour permeability of the substrate. Mould and Algae Resistant The inherent alkaline nature of Keim® Ecosil prevents the growth of fungi and algae spores on the paint surface. This feature combined with Ecosil's anticondensation characteristics ensures a clean, healthy surface. Attractive & Easy to Apply The flat, matt, opaque finish of Keim® Ecosil is available in over 150 standard shades with specials being readily available at no price premium. Special effect techniques such as ragging, dragging and washing are easily achieved using Ecosil - and Keim® specialists are available to provide advice. Keim® Ecosil is formulated for use 'straight from the can', avoiding on site misuse and be applied by all conventional painting techniques - including brush, roller and spray. |
