AJAX
It was in 1891 in Melbourne that Sidney Cooke manufactured his first nail, the Evenden Springhead Roofing Nail, and started what has become today Australia's leading manufacturer of fasteners, Ajax Fasteners, part of Nylex Ltd.
Twenty one years after that first nail came off the line, production was increased to include washers, rivets, boat nails and corrugated fasteners.
Today Ajax is part of the Lifestyle Division of Nylex Ltd which includes a portfolio of famous brands including Ajax Fasteners, Nylex, Esky and Senco.
