Connolly Keyjoint now including Dowel Cradle Assemblies 
Connolly, the leading supplier of key joint and jointing accessories in Australia, has extended their product range to include Dowel Cradle assemblies. The use of Dowel Cradles is becoming popular for use with saw cut joints on large industrial projects. Dowel Cradles, sometimes called dowel baskets, ensure that accurate horizontal and vertical alignment of dowels is maintained during concrete placement. Maintaining correct alignment of dowels across the joint is recognised as being the most important aspect of forming a doweled joint. Connolly dowel cradles are produced with either round or square dowels in most popular lengths and depths or they can be made to your specific individual requirements. Where square dowels are specified, Connolly Universal Dowel Sleeves are used as part of the manufacture of the new Dowel Cradles to allow lateral movement of the dowels along the joint line. Made from 6mm wire, the cradles form a rigid assembly capable of withstanding the harsh treatment they frequently receive from construction activities. Made in standard 3m lengths they are easy to handle and transport, saving both time and money. Connolly will provide a dowel cradle detail sheet which can be included with specification documents provided to contractors.
