E-Therm - a new bimetallic foam insulation material.
Peace & Quiet has just launched a new bimetallic foam insulation material, E-Therm, a popular and safe alternative to fibre and styrene based
insulation products when used underslab in commercial buildings.
A major new commercial project near Sydney's Mascot airport has used E-Therm to treat concrete roof areas on several levels. This innovative project
specified E-Therm for it's fibre-free properties and because of the rapid installation made easy using E-Therm's self-adhesive fastening system. Install time
was reduced by several days, and no explosive anchors were required.
When used underslab, E-therm provides up to R2.5 thermal rating, exceeding the requirements of the Building Code of Australia and ensuring that underslab
areas of the building envelope contribute to energy savings throughout.
E-Therm is a reflective, semi-rigid foam sheeting only 8mm thick. When used in conjunction with the E-therm self adhesive fastening / spacer system, it
creates a trapped air space together with existing structural elements to ensure heat transfer is minimised.
Designed and made in Australia, E-Therm is supplied in 30 mtr2 rolls and is a safe alternative to Synthetic Mineral Fibre or Flammable styrene insulating
products.
