BDSi supporting worthwhile charities

BDSi Director John Murray was pleased to represent his colleagues at a fund raising breakfast held on November 20th, 2006 for the benefit of the Enough is Enough Anti-Violence Movement.

Guest speaker was Channel 9 media personality Mike Munro who revealed that he was the product of a broken home and had grown up in the care of an alcoholic mother. Although he was the subject of some ill-treatment at his mother's hands he spoke about her with warmth and love.

His message for the many schoolchildren in the room was that it matters not what your current circumstances are or how many others you feel are to blame for the predicaments you find yourself in, only you can accept responsibility for how you react to your circumstances and you do have the power to change and shape your world.

Inspiring words from a humble and proud family man who despite all his celebrity status, still sees himself first and foremost as a journalist and violently objects to being called a "Star".

Mike will be discussing the possibility of doing more work on behalf of Ken Marslew and his Enough is Enough organisation and BDSi is also proud to be a supporter of this very worthwhile charity.
