Caloundra City Council's landscape architect, Chris Fenaughty says, "The dynamic use of CCS integrally coloured concrete with feature sandstone flagging
provided a robust yet attractive surface from which other elements of the streetscape could be complemented.
"A selection of CCS colours including cardinal, biscuit, chocolate, honeycomb and desert buff were chosen to enliven the pavement yet still remain sympathetic to the
coastal character of the refurbished streetscape."
With nearby takeaway and outdoor dining establishments, the surface was also finished with a CCS concrete sealer to protect it from the ingress of dirt and other
pollutants.
