Legrand continues expansion in Australia and New Zealand with the acquisition of HPM

Actively continuing its strategy of growth through targeted acquisitions, Legrand today announced � subject to regulatory approval � the acquisition of HPM, number two for wiring devices in Australia and New Zealand. This acquisition will substantially build on the presence of Legrand in Australia & New Zealand, where the company has been since 1989 and adds to the growing footprint of Legrand in the broader Asian market. HPM group of companies reports annual sales of approximately A$170 million, of which nearly 88% is generated in Australia. Present in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, HPM employs 875 people including a sales force of around 200. Legrand's ranges in protection, cable management, VDI and access control as well as technological and market leadership in wiring devices will effectively extend HPM's product offering and market coverage and offer greater opportunities to HPM customers and employees.
