Stair safety with Guardian Tactile Systems

Guardian Tactiles installed on two stair landings - per DDA Access Legislation. Guardian Tactiles are an easy-to-install and cost-saving way for building owners to meet their access responsibilities covering employees and public alike as required by the Building Code of Australia.

Guardian tactile indicators are designed to warn all people of an approaching hazard, especially those with visual disabilities. They have been called, "Brail for the feet" and one of their many benefits is that they help sight impaired people immensely in negotiating stairways and locating hand railings.

Guardian warning and directional tactiles are of a very high-quality. They are strong & impact resistant, long lasting and extremely hard-wearing. The tactiles also provide the required luminance contrast and comply with Australian Standard: AS1428.4.2002 Appendix F.

Stairway Installation; the tactile mats should be bonded to the floor at the top and bottom of stairways and on stair landings.
