Global Valves and Engineering are proud to represent the Plenty Filters UK range
of filters. The Plenty Filters UK range of filters includes basket type strainers of simple robust
construction. These can be supplied as Simplex (single) basket type for general applications where
the process flow is intermittent or can be stopped for element cleaning such as tanker loading or
drum filling. Alternatively they can be of Duplex (dual) basket type incorporating two 100% capacity
filtration chambers connected by an integral flow changeover valve permitting flow to be switched
between chambers, enabling basket cleaning to be performed without interruption to process flow such
as is necessary on cooling water systems or gland sealing systems.
The general purpose standard, single basket filters feature an OSHA friendly quick-release cover for
easy access, cleaning and maintenance. The design does not require specialised tools or knowledge,
and results in a minimum of downtime. Suitable for both liquid and gas applications.
Sizes / Connections
25mm to 300mm bore, flanged to ANSI 150/300RF for cast steel and stainless steel
or ANSI 125/250 FF for cast iron or bronze. Class 600 filters (Simplex Type "T") are also available.
Can be drilled to BS tables and or DIN standards. Also available with screwed connections 1" and 1½" sizes.
Filtration
Fitted with 2mm perforated basket as standard, which can be fitted with
special cleanable mesh inserts for liquids or gases to achieve filtration from 20 mesh (920 micron)
down to 300 mesh (45 micron) or Betamesh to 10 micron.
Dual wall gas baskets with disposable PAFIC elements can filter gases down to 1-2 micron.
Materials
Cast iron, cast steel and stainless steel, bronze, aluminium bronze and
special rubber lined or Resistex lined bodies.
Applications
Simplex filters have become well established for applications such as
RO pre-filtration, natural gas, side-filtration for HVAC cooling towers, diesel fuel, petroleum, sea
water cooling water circuits, bio-diesel and alternative fuels, coal-seam gas and pump gland seal
filtration, to name a few.
