AliMesh reception desk from Mitchel Laminates
AliMesh® Aluminium frame panels, finished in 19mm Square frame with clear anodised mesh
has been used to create an innovative illuminated reception counter, for Mitchell Laminates' head office.
The design uses four, 1200 x 1000mm, AliMesh® panels, supplied by Mitchell Laminates which create a unique
semi translucent-wire effect. Each panel consists of two inserts; a top sheet of clear anodised mesh which
is supported by a bottom sheet of Perspex® Frost Polar White. This customised, two insert solution, was used
to not only give added impact resistance to the mesh, but also required to allow for back lighting.
As the panels were back lit, careful consideration was given to the fixing method. It was important that each
panel could be removed easily for routine maintenance. As AliMesh® panels are light weight it was possible
to fit each panel using Velcro, which eliminated the need for any visible fixing systems.
