VIS-Check® WIDE - Taking highway safety off-road

A commitment to innovation and manufacturing excellence has seen International heavy vehicle service automation equipment manufacturer NEPEAN® Transport, announce the launch of its latest model, the VIS-Check® full version WIDE roller brake tester (pat. pend.) for wide heavy duty 'on and off highway' vehicles such as heavy and over dimension commercial vehicles, up to 3.6 m in width, front end loaders, large fork lifts & tyre handlers.

The model has been introduced to the VIS-Check range to meet market demand as part of the business's strategy of focusing on requirements in mining, earthmoving and large scale materials handling.

The full version WIDE module includes the added feature of adjustable width. The test rollers have the capability to be adjusted to accommodate a narrow passenger vehicle and adjusted out to suit vehicles as wide as 3600mm.

VIS-Check roller brake, steering and suspension testing equipment is fully transportable and can be used above-ground or as an in-ground installation. Brake force, brake balance and deceleration diagnostics are used to determine braking performance & efficiency.

Rolling resistance identifies unnecessary drag that increases fuel consumption and can cause premature component wear and/or failure. Wheel and Axle weight data can identify uneven vehicle loading and issues with the frame or running gear. All data is uploaded to a Windows based computer and stored in a database for further analysis.

The dynamic road simulator allows the operator to quickly diagnose and inspect steering and suspension components on the vehicle. King-pins, bearings, suspension bushings, cab mounts, tie rods and all other undercarriage components can be quickly inspected.
