Lismore's main drag receives a face lift with ACO Drain.

Molesworth Street is the main street in Lismore. A concerted effort was adopted by the local council to enhance the appearance of its main thoroughfare
with a $1m upgrade. The entire street was resurfaced and all kerb and channel removed to eliminate step downs from the footpath. Footpaths were also upgraded
with coloured concrete and paving including tactile tiles for the central crossing to assist disabled pedestrians.
The capture of stormwater runoff from both the footpath and road surface required Lismore Council to select a trench drain attractive enough to compliment
the pavement surrounds; safe enough to stop small heels from being trapped; yet strong enough to withstand the loads from its street sweepers and other
service vehicles. ACO Drain KS200 with lockable Heelguard stainless steel grates met all these requirements. ACO Drain is an Australian made modular trench
drainage system comprising interconnecting channels made from strong polymer concrete. A wide choice of gratings allows it to be versatile for any application.
