Dunstone Maze - NEG glass blocks, the architecture of light.

Advantages of Glass Blocks:
- Wide range of design options -
(patterns, sizes, colours) Straight, curved and discontinuous curved walls are available through selection of
glass block sizes. Patterns permit degree of light control, transparent or non-transparent glass. A colourful atmosphere can be created by choosing
coloured rim glass blocks.
Circular and triangular blocks are available.
-
- Energy-saving features -
The inside of each glass block is a near-vacuum with a pressure of 0.3atm.
This provides the glass block with a higher heat insulating value than the double glazed glass.
-
- Amenity Benefits -
The glass block creates an agreeable working or living environment by transmitting, refracting or reflecting light. The glass block also creates a
quieter space by reducing noise.
-
- Safety features -
A properly installed glass block is structurally stable, wind and earthquake-resistant. Glass blocks also offer protection against crime.
-
- Maintenance-free Glass -
The easy to clean and condensation-free glass block facilitates easier building maintenance. If cracked a glass block is readily replaceable.
-
N.E.G. Glass Blocks
The N.E.G. glass block is currently available in 16 patterns, 10 sizes and 8 rim colours. The patterns permit light control: direct transmission, diffusion
and reduction. Moreover, transparent and non-transparent patterns may be used to suit the purpose of the glass block wall. The non-transparent glass block
is suitable for securing a private space while the transparent glass block is effective for producing openness.
The Light Directive glass block directs light upwards to brighten the ceiling. Solar Reflective glass block sharply reduces the solar heat. Corner blocks
permit one continuous glass block wall surface.
