Traffideck® is a versatile waterproofing and surfacing system which offers specifiers and installers a proven system for Bridge Decks; either as
a shear key application on heavily trafficked bridges or a protective and anti slip surfacing for pedestrian bridges. The Traffideck® system protects
the original bridge deck from the elements and prolonging its natural life, while providing an anti-slip surfacing that is both functional and
aesthetically pleasing!
The Traffideck® System is a multi-layered system, combinations of which make up flexible coatings, providing anti-slip, corrosion protection,
waterproofing and decorative surfaces. Each individual component has been developed with environmentally friendly considerations in mind, and is fully VOC
compliant.

Concrete decks on bridges can crack prematurely due to shrinkage, movement and wear and tear. If left unprotected eventually corrosion of the reinforced
steel will occur which can lead to leakage through the concrete decks and cause durability failure.
If a steel bridge deck is not protected particularly when a bridge takes high traffic volumes, the asphalt running surface can slip and need
replacing more regularly.
Traffideck® can be applied as a Shear Key to the bridge deck protecting the concrete deck from premature failure; and a steel deck from corrosion
as well as providing an anti slip for the asphalt/running surface and stop it from slipping, therefore prolonging its life and reducing disruption.
Shear Key applications are generally applied in bright colours. When the asphalt needs replacing years later, the contractor knows only to remove the
surfacing to the shear key layer.

where it was used in 2000 to protect the steel deck and to stop the asphalt from slipping.
