The advanced linoleum flooring range Marmoleum Global 2 by Forbo, launched recently in Australia, was bestowed two major awards at the 2005 Symposium
on Healthcare Design held in Atlanta, USA.
The Symposium Distinction Awards honour design teams and individuals who have made a profound contribution to the healthcare design industry.
Marmoleum Global 2 by Forbo won Most Sustainable (product) and Best in Show awards.
The Symposium is the longest-running conference and exhibition dedicated to the improvement of the overall health and welfare of patients. It is
attended by healthcare executives, facility managers, architects, consultants and interior designers.
The Symposium concluded with tours of three newly renovated and redesigned Atlanta healthcare facilities to demonstrate the latest design elements
and the effects on the patients, visitors, hospitals and staff.
Facilities toured included Emory Pediatrics Research and Clinical Building and Northside Community Hospital (both of which feature Marmoleum flooring)
and DeKalb Medical Center at Hillendale.
