SUPER STEEL LATTICE
Colorbond steel is guaranteed to meet AS2728 regarding gloss, adhesion, hardness and flexibility. Eight oven-baked coatings ensure the Zincalume steel is
protected from chipping, peeling and flaking. This effectively means you will never need to paint the product! Super Steel Lattice is roll formed from 0.55mm
coil steel into two components - slats and borders. The shape of the slats and borders is visible in the cross section diagram to the left. The product is
custom made to order. The slats and borders are cut to the required lengths and then pop-riveted together to form rigid panels. Installation is simple and
instructions available.
Super Steel Lattice is environmentally friendly, suffers none of the frailties of timber lattice such as warping, twisting, sagging, splitting, staple rust,
etc. and never needs painting!
Colorbond products are used extensively around the home for roofing, fencing, guttering and barging just to name a few applications. The inclusion of Super
Steel Lattice allows for the blending of these same colours around the property to give an overall harmonious appearance. The uses to which the product can be
applied is limited only by the imagination and include the provision for shade, privacy screens, fencing, garden enhancement, security doors and window screens
and many other applications.
Traditionally, timber lattice has not been used in commercial application because it can not maintain it's integrity and becomes prematurely 'old looking'
and unsightly in a very short time period, requiring maintenance or replacement. Super Steel Lattice is maintenance free and does not require repainting like
timber lattice. Super Steel Lattice is rapidly becoming common place in commercial and institutional applications. The inherent strength of the product allows
for use in security applications where specially designed aluminium extrusions have been designed to accept the steel lattice panels, creating a practical,
attractive and very strong security system.
