Fire compliance inspections in buildings are getting much tougher under the revised Fire Door standard AS 1905.1 (2005).
Fire doors that don't comply with the new standard will fail inspection.
The Raven RP114 fire & hot smoke door bottom seal is designed to salvage non-compliant fire doors that have gaps underneath that exceed the mandatory
maximum of 10mm stipulated in the Australian Standard AS 1905.1.(2005)
RP114's simple retrofit design avoids expensive door replacement and the need to remove the door leaf during its easy fitment.
How does it work?
RP114 door bottom seal has a unique intumescent insert, once exposed to heat and flames the intumescent portion of the seal expands rapidly up to 25 times
its original size, effectively sealing the gap under the door.
Fully expanded, RP114 seals the passage of fire and hot smoke from passing under the door into an adjoining room.
RP114 has been Fire tested to AS 1530.4 and is approved for use on all leading proprietary Fire Doors. RP114 conforms to BCA Spec.C3.4 for use on
all Fire doors and Smoke doors.
Raven also manufacture approved threshold plates that can be used with RP114 to suit various site conditions or simply to improve acoustic, smoke
and weather-energy sealing on exposed doors.
