Double glazed sliding windows from Trend Windows & Doors
The Trend Double-Glazed Sliding Window is a recent addition to Trend Windows
and Doors' Thermashield range.
The window uses the existing Trend sliding frame, but the new sash means an 18mm
double-glazed unit to be fitted without an adaptor, or it can accommodate a thick
glass option for acoustic solutions.
A major benefit of the window is its ability to be retrofitted to existing single-glazed
sashes. An energy-efficient option or acoustic solution can be provided without changing
the frame, thereby negating the need for expensive window replacement.
With a U-value of around 3.0 and SHGC (solar heat gain coefficient) of 0.47, the new
window gives an instant energy upgrade to existing houses that have Trend Windows fitted.
