The owners of this property were after a healthy heating solution with energy efficient features, without paying the
same amount as they would have for a hydronic heating system. This was achieved by the use of a unique ceramic
heating plate that produces Far Infrared Rays. These rays are able to heat rooms while consuming very little amounts
of electricity, and creating no dust, noise or vibration.
This system is incredibly functional, with a seven day programmable thermostat that can control individual room
temperatures. Due to the quick warm up times, smaller rooms such as bedrooms and studies can have basic nonprogrammable
thermostats fitted and the heating can be switched on only when the room needs to be used. The FIR
panels have an extremely high emitting efficiency, almost 95 per cent, so from a 600 watt panel, 570 watts is converted
into direct heating energy.
