Preston Hire Provide Demonstration Superdeck to Cobra Training Services

Preston Hire have provided their first demonstration loading deck to Cobra Training Services this week for training purposes.

Thanks to a recent legislation change, Registered Training Organisations have to provide correct facilities to train their operators, to tailor to the construction industry.

Several training organisations approached Preston about selling the Superdeck Loading Platforms so they would be able to meet this requirement.

Rather than providing the companies' with their own Superdecks, Preston instead designed a smaller demonstration model of the loading platform, which can be used specifically for training purposes, but is not as functional as the actual Superdeck, and so can't be resold.

The first of these demonstration models is to be used by Cobra Training Services, who accepted the delivery earlier this week.

The use of the demonstration model will ensure that Cobra Training Services are able to meet the standard set by the new legislation regarding the training facilities they provide to their operators, but also ensures that Preston's ownership of the loading platform is protected.

Operators will be able to receive training on the use of the retractable loading platform at the training organisation, qualifying them to use the retractable Superdecks as loading platforms on multi-storey construction jobs once they complete training.
