Glen Dimplex Aquires Real Flame

We are proud to officially announce that Real Flame has been acquired by the Glen Dimplex Group.

This is the most exciting news to hit the Australian gas fireplace industry in many years. Founded in 1973, Glen Dimplex is a leading international group, the world's largest manufacturer of electric heating, and also holds significant global market positions in domestic appliances, cooling, ventilation and renewable energy solutions.

Real Flame was founded in 1983 and has progressively grown to be the leaders in gas fireplace technology in Australia.

Real Flame Joint Managing Director Mark Blankfield said "I am amazed that a company of Glen Dimplex's size has the same two philosophies that Real Flame has always prided itself in, namely, care and consideration for those "family members" who make up the team and for pride in their respective brands." Managing Director of Glen Dimplex Australia David Woodward made comment on the synergies between the two companies and said it will create a solid foundation to build on the 34 years of history that Real Flame has to cement it's position as market leader. Mark Blankfield will be staying on in his current role until June 30th.

David Woodward will be joining Mark and Jeff on the forthcoming National dealer trip.
