Harben Hoverclean floor cleaners from Engineered Products Group
The new Hoverclean Floor Cleaners distributed by Engineered Products Group are capable of cleaning large areas of
floor or roadway with minimum water consumption. They are designed for use with Harben water jetting units. The main objective
in all high pressure cleaning operations is to achieve the desired results using the minimum volume of water. Using two jets that
are rotated at high speed the Hoverclean can achieve this in a most effective way. A wide variety of surfaces can be cleaned
including steel, concrete, asphalt and even timber.
There are two models available:
The Standard Hoverclean can be powered by any Harben pump that produces a minimum flow of 8 IGPM (36L/min) at pressures of
between 2000 to 5000 psi (140 to 350 bar).
The Heavy Duty Hoverclean is used for applications that require pressures in excess of 5000 psi (350 bar). It is housed within
a steel framework and runs on heavy-duty castors. Ground clearance is adjustable and on/off control is by a deadmans handle.
Maximum working pressure is 7000 psi (500 bar).
They work by high-pressure water fed into a water-lubricated centre bearing via a flow control selector valve mounted on the
handle. It then flows to jets at either end of a rotating spray bar, which in turn drives a fan assembly. This induces a flow
of air through the casing of the machine on which the whole assembly hovers - it literally floats on a cushion of air!
High-pressure jets of water are directed on to the surface to be cleaned, deposits are rapidly removed and washed away into
drainage areas. There is very little overspray from the hoverclean. The reduction in operation fatigue and ease of use has made
the Hoverclean into one of the most popular floor cleaning tools on the market today.
In keeping with Harben's tradition of improving standards, the Hoverclean is now fitted with a new type of seal arrangement
within the water-lubricated gland. Incredibly this more than doubles the life expectancy of the seals before they require
changing!
