High quality, low cost Smaragd, one of the world's best value floors, has a composite construction that makes it one of the toughest vinyl floors available. It is enduring Russian schools, Swedish pharmacies, American shops, Turkish laboratories, Australian hospitals and Chinese factories. It is no exaggeration to say Smaragd is the everywhere floor. Designed to withstand very heavy commercial and heavy light industrial use, Smaragd's 100% PVC wearlayer protects against dirt, chemicals and friction whilst withstanding indentations. Its PUR surface finish reduces the need for wet mopping, waxing and polishing, even when exposed to heavy traffic conditions. There are 51 new colours across three refreshed designs - Smaragd Original, Smaragd Classic and Smaragd Marble. Allowing freedom of design, both Smaragd Original and Smaragd Classic do not have pattern restrictions and are colour-matched so that it is easy to combine them. Smaragd Original has a barely-there speckle that provides a lightly dappled look while Smaragd Classic features a larger, non-directional speckle. Both have coloured particles incorporated into the transparent pure PVC top layer that creates a three-dimensional, textured effect. The impressive feature of the Smaragd Marble design is its painted, marbled structure. This subtle design enables co-ordination with Forbo's Marmoleum range.
