New generation skylight from Skydome Skylight Systems
Skydome Skylight Systems has released a new generation tubular skylight with bounce-through technology that
optimises the through-put of light whenever the sun is in the sky. Called Skytube Intech the skylight was designed and
manufactured in Australia.
Until now, tubular skylights only worked at their optimum level when the sun is higher in the sky - from 10am to 2pm in most
instances - with performance decreasing dramatically in the early morning and late afternoon. However, Skytube Intech features
a laser cut, conical light reflector designed to direct the lower light angles of the morning and afternoon sun's rays and shoot
them down the light tube, providing light whenever the sun is up.
According to Michael Bonello, Skydome's managing director, the One Bounce technology will make Skytube Intech the most efficient
tubular skylight in the market.
"Our new technology has taken significant resources to develop and produce," he says. "The result is that the new Skytube will
operate at maximum performance levels for nearly twice as long as other tubular skylights."
