Soundguard To Demonstrate
Soundproofing Solutions
This year at Designbuild, Soundguard
will feature Wavebar, Soundlag 4525C pipe-wrap and
Silentstep among their literally hundreds of soundproofing
solutions, and again entertain visitors with their
interactive exhibits.
Again, the Boom Box exhibit, popular
at the last two Designbuilds, will continue to fascinate
visitors who seem never to tire of the game of slamming
the lid on loud music to squelch it almost completely.
|
Its secret is its lining
of Wavebar, a soundproofing material
much used against road, air traffic
and through-wall noises, for which it
excels, even at the lower frequencies
that other acoustic materials don't
deal with well.
A pipe lagged with Soundlag
4525C will have a removable piece cut
out of it so that visitors can see how
the composite nature of the pipe-wrap
achieves the NAL-proven insertion loss
of up to 25 dB(A) and required Rw45
rating.

Pull
the plug on this exhibit and you'll
see how Soundlag 4525C achieves its
NAL-proven Rw45 rating for hydraulic
pipework

Soundguard is also planning a display
that allow the visitor to see the many different
places within a building where soundproofing should
be installed, each of which calls for different
performance characteristics, each provided by a
different Soundguard material designed for the purpose.
The stand will be manned by staff
boasting a combined 40 years experience in soundproofing
and a brief to discuss in detail all visitors' noise
control problems and their solutions.
