Self-levelling Elevating Work Platform.
Southwell have developed a solution to an ever present problem at BlueScope Steel. A heavy duty, high capacity, self-levelling Elevating Work Platform was
delivered recently to their Port Kembla plant.
Aware that their previous practice of multiple platform stacking inside a molten steel ladle was an unsafe practice, they looked to Southwell for the
solution.
This was an unusual application, the job was very different and difficult, taking six (6) months to design and manufacture with constant customer liasion
throughout this period.
Whereever this EWP is positioned the self-levelling will allow the unit to find the correct balance on an uneven base before commencing work.
This unit is designed to work in the harshest of conditions in ladles at their steel works plant
