Trend Windows & Doors releases Quantum XP Xtreme range - suitable for up to extreme bushfire zones.

Trend™ Windows & Doors has recently released QuantumR XP Xtreme™ windows & doors range of products suitable for up to extreme bushfire
zones.
Xtreme™ windows & doors is the first window system in Australia designed to withstand temperatures up to 40kW without failure from either the
glazing or from the window system itself to help prevent internal ignition of houses and loss of precious possessions.
With Australian urban population areas increasingly being pushed ever closer to bushfire prone areas, the awareness and understanding of building loss
through bushfire has taken a dominant and high priority position with authorities and researchers.
Trend™ Windows and Doors have looked at the entire glazing system and through extensive research and development has advanced the design of window and door
systems to take in up to the most extreme of bushfires.
The Xtreme™ range of products is the first window system in Australia designed to withstand temperatures up to 40kW without failure from either the
glazing or from the window system itself to help prevent internal ignition of houses and loss of precious possessions.
In houses, windows are considered the most susceptible area to damage from bushfires. Most houses destroyed in bushfires in fact survive the passing of
the fire only to burn down later from embers and debris borne on the wind.

Trend has combined the technologically advanced Quantum® Window system with Pyro-Protec seals and glazing systems and 5mm standard toughened glass to
produce Xtreme™ Windows and Doors. This window system is cost efficient solution to a problem that is fast becoming a national challenge.
The design of houses and buildings has not changed much over the years and little thought has been given to the materials that make up the normal house.
Extensive testing at CSIRO laboratories, has shown that the XtremeT product range of windows and doors withstands the extreme heat generated by category
5 fires (40kW) or extreme ranges and passes the relevant testing regime
