Ritek sandwich roofing panels from Composite Roofing Structures

Sandwich roofing panels produced by Ritek were used in the recent construction of a weekender in O'Connell designed by Michal Tomaszewski of Tomaszewski & Associates.

Due to the project's location; positioned between Bathurst and Oberon, thermal efficiency was a primary requirement for all materials used in the construction, undertaken by O'Hara Building. This led to the selection of Ritek panels due to their ability to achieve an R5.0 insulation rating.

While the speed of installation of the Ritek system compared to conventional roofing methods reduced the construction time considerably, the roofing system's capacity to create a multi curved roof also contributed to the decision to incorporate the custom panels into the development. The corrugated underside of the product has been used throughout the project as an internal design feature.
