Unreal Stone sandstone cladding transforms a seventies dilemma

How do you update a home that was built in the seventies and
early eighties? By giving it an Unreal Stone transformation!
Today's building style is a lot cleaner and lighter. To achieve this
contemporary transformation, all the drab mission brown woodwork was painted
out with fresh white paint. The fussy fretwork on the veranda posts was removed
and the biggest part of the transformation... the textured bricks, were clad
in Unreal Stone sandstone.
This unique Australian product is a reconstituted sandstone tile which is hand
crafted using natural coloured sands and polymers that create a beautiful natural
sandstone look. Unreal Stone is water resistant and fireproof. The sandstone
tiles are simply adhered to the bricks using a powerful flexible adhesive and
flexible grout.
With corner stones and stone lintels, the overall effect is of a new solid
sandstone home. The stone will age and weather just like natural sandstone,
giving it a soft, natural, maintenance free look for many years to come.
Ease of installation - builders, carpenters and tillers, all will find this
product a breeze to use. With the smooth back surface and the flexible adhesive,
the tiles are quick to attach. A four inch angle grinder makes for easy cutting
on site. The tiles are all 290mm high and come in a variety of lengths - 490mm,
610mm, 420mm and 245mm. A mix of these, gives the look of traditional sandstone walls.
A choice of textures - rockface, hewn, smooth and sparrowpicked to suit all
housing styles from country to contemporary.
