Global Safe Technologies tactile indicators at ACT's first jail complex

Industry leader construction firm of this new jail project required
relevant disability standards AS/NZS 1428 4-2002 compliant solution for disabled
access at the correction facility bus stop and pedestrian walking paths.
After visiting the site and have detailed discussions about the requirements Global
Safe Technologies proposed a comprehensive tactile solution which included directional
and warning indicators.
The product offered was the industry leading AUSTACT tactile range which has been
proven to be very cost effective and long lasting, but also has the drill / install
installation method which ensures an extremely low failure rate as well as a very
cost effective replacement and recyclability once the tactile reached its useful life.
The client was confident to go ahead with the suggested solution as Global Safe not
only offered a superior solution, but also understanding of relevant standards and
application, proven outstanding quality and range of the product, long term warranty,
ongoing risk management program (FSMP©) and competitive price.
The Sydney based Global Safe team travelled to Canberra and completed all the planned
and some additionally requested work in less than 2 days, within agreed time and budget
as well as to the highest quality and to the total satisfaction of the client.
As an additional surprise to the client the final invoice was less than the quoted price.
This was due to the fact that Global Safe and its authorised floor safety representatives
only charge for the actual tactiles installed, ensuring that the client NEVER pays for
something which is not supplied.
As a result of this job, the company has decided to engage Global Safe Technologies
Australia with further tactile work in upcoming other projects.
