Weldlok Industries balltube handrailing - quality and delivery

Quality and delivery give Weldlok® the edge on handrail contract.
Leading industrial products manufacturer Weldlok® Industries has proved its 'metal'
in supplying nearly three kilometres of galvanised steel balltube handrailing for a
major contract in Newcastle.
The handrailing was supplied through Nova Distributors to Alfabs Engineering, which
installed it in a major facility upgrade at the Downer EDi Rail Operations at Cardiff.
The Facility Upgrade was project managed by Downer EDi Works on behalf of Downer EDi Rail.
Alfabs Engineering Procurement Manager, Scott Burdekin, says Weldlok® was chosen to
supply the project because of its quality and delivery performance. He says Weldlok®
was able to commit to meeting the tight delivery schedule, supplying up to 200 lineal
metres a week at the height of the project.
In another time-saving initiative, Weldlok® was able to supply much of the handrailing
in pre-fabricated customised sections so it could be delivered to Alfabs Engineering ready
for painting, then to site for speedier installation.
The Weldlok® balltube handrailing system is a complete modular system comprising fully
galvanised stanchions, rails, bends, kick-plates, slip-joints and closures. It's designed
for fast, easy installation with a minimum of on-site welding.
Weldlok®, part of the Graham Group, is one of Australia's leading suppliers of forgebar
gratings and stairtreads, as well as a comprehensive range of galvanised steel drainage products.
