certainly not a new philosophy for DCT. In-line with
the Australian Governments commitment to meet
Kyoto Protocol, DCT have been pro-active in sourcing
products that are CFC and HCFC free, plus zero ODP
(ozone depletion potential).
The Dow Building Solutions' next generation of
X-Foam technology enhances the sustainability
profile of STYROFOAM™ Brand Insulation products.
Dow Building Solutions' unique and proprietary
X-Foam solution will enable Dow to continue
manufacturing STYROFOAM™ brand insulation with
the same product performance and high insulation
value standards customers demand and rely on, while
significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and
eliminating the use of ozone-depleting materials.
DCT will now start the phase out of non-compliant
materials, which means that specifications for designs
using products such as Dow STYROFOAM™
Roofmate, Floormate, SMTG, RTM and LB will
now be replaced by the Greenstar Compliant Dow
STYROFOAM™ X-Foam range of insulation products.
Dow STYROFOAM™ X-Foam products help curb
escalating energy bills, reduce a building's carbon
footprint and provide a more comfortable indoor
environment.
