X-Ray Barrier Cavity Sliding Doors by CS Cavity Sliders

A CS Cavity Slider is a functional and efficient alternative to conventional surface sliding or hinged doors. Our cavity slider units enable a door to slide inside the wall leaving the floor and wall space on both sides clear and unobstructed.

The CS X-RayBarrier cavity sliding door system is designed for use in isotope areas or where diagnostic x-ray apparatus is used. Units can be fitted with our CS X-RayBarrier Sliding door leaf to make a complete system. Door leaves can be constructed from either aluminium or timber but must meet minimum barrier requirements.

If the room temperature on one side of the door is likely to vary greatly to the opposite side it is recommended that the aluminium door option is used, as they are less susceptible to bowing.

Locations where the X-RayBarrier typically provides the perfect solution include: x-ray rooms in hospitals, laboratories, dental surgeries etc.

Design Features & Options:

• Suitable for large openings (unlike hinged doors).
• Aesthetically appealing
• Can be fitted with Hi-ImpactJambs or standard aluminium jambs. Hi-ImpactJambs are often a good option because the places where the CS X-RayBarrier are used can be high impact areas where trolleys, hospital beds and other moving objects come into contact with jambs on a regular basis.
• Jambs are aluminium in order to accommodate the lead shielding. The closing jamb is modified to provide an adequate overlap between the wall shielding and the lead lining of the door.
• Aluminium jambs come with woolpile seals as standard.
• This unit has added advantage of noise reduction properties.
• A range of powdercoated or anodised colour choices.
• Available as single units only.

Once installed, lined and painted the appearance of these units is the same as a standard CS Cavity Slider.
