Meet X-Gel 3000

X-Gel by Neoferma comes in several variants, each uniquely formulated for specific applications. For the standard liquid polyurethane type of waterproofing solutions, X-Gel 3000 is the premium choice.

A hydrophilic water-stop polyurethane, X-Gel 3000 is highly effective for leakage of concrete underground structures, expansion joints and structures that are fragile to vibration. It is widely applied where there exists large amounts of water. With high density and elasticity, X-GEL 3000 has an expansion rate of approximately 700-800% dependent on the amount of water present.

Features of X-Gel 3000

The hydrophilic nature of X-Gel 3000 makes complete water-stopping of even hairline cracks possible. The product expands with only a small amount of water so as to form watertight foam, as attributed by the single component, moisture cure resin.

X-Gel 3000 exhibits superb fluidity and low viscosity, making it easy to inject into hairline crack and stop water. The high-density composition of X-Gel 3000 accounts for its outstanding durability and water resistance in the form of elastic foam. With excellent elasticity and flexibility, X-Gel 3000 will cope movements in the concrete structure, making it highly effective for underground structures or tunnels where vibration is severe.

How to Install X-Gel 3000

X-Gel 3000 can be installed by a capable technician in five, simple steps, as follows:

Examine the structure to be installed, in terms of its thickness, and the depth and width of the cracks or joints. Then, secure the area and cover any areas that may be damaged by over spill.
Use a brush, wire brush or compressed air to clean the area of the crack or joint. Remove any oil, stains or contamination using thinners, and other similar products. Make sure that there is no trace of dust, debris, and other foreign matter in the crack or joint.
Insert a Neoferma brass packer into the hole and tighten. Through the packer, insert X-Gel 3000 into the crack or joint at regular intervals until the leakage has stopped. The solution must then have reacted, visibly coming out of the crack or joint.
Remove the head part of the packer protruding from the surface, and grind flush.
Use an epoxy sealer or cementitious repair mortar to seal the area.
