Ceiling Expansion Joints by Unison Joints

Ceiling Expansion Joint

Ceiling expansion joints are designed to safely absorb thermal expansion and contraction of a structure, as well as vibration and movement due to ground settlement or earthquakes.

Australian innovators of expansion and control joints, Unison Joints, design and manufacture Vertos C (VtC), an integrated ceiling expansion joint that can accommodate structural movements.

What Makes Vertos C Ceiling Expansion Joint Unique?

Vertos C ceiling expansion joint is made specifically to integrate with common ceiling finishes. A combination of extruded aluminium retainers and extruded thermoplastic cover makes up the fundamental components of the expansion joint system.

This componentry makes the system quite simple and very free-moving. Unison's seal-profile incorporates 'concertina' type ribs. Whilst some competitor systems employ a flat seal, which has to stretch during movement, the design of Unison's profile allows for ample movement, removing stress on surrounding ceiling substrate, and preventing unsightly cracks from developing. It also leads to high movement and seismic capability that gives substantial flexibility to buildings and structures.

Vertos C ceiling expansion joint is available in black, grey, beige, and other colour options to easily fit into its surrounding substrate. The UV stable ceiling expansion joint also comes with an optional secondary waterproof seal for maximum protection against water leakage.

Please be advised that Unison Joints is unaffected by COVID-19 as our manufacturing products are not sourced from China.
