Product Range
The Composite Reinforcement market remains the company's core business. Colan has recently been involved in weaving various fibreglass products for the Royal Australian
Navy for the construction of five mine sweeping vessels. Colan weaves a wide range of fibreglass, aramid and carbon fabrics. Products including tapes, woven rovings and
multi-axial stitched products for the reinforcement market.
In the Thermal and Acoustic Insulation market, Colan manufactures woven fibreglass fabrics and tapes. These are available in loomstate, laminated and coated finishes.
We offer a wide range of asbestos free, cost affective, high performance products to meet the needs of the construction industry in a wide variety of high temperature
and acoustic applications.
The company's range of Safety and Protective textiles are woven from flame resistant and ballistic tolerant fibres. These are used in the manufacture of heat, splash and
chemical resistant clothing as well as ballistic applications. Typical applications include firemen's turn-out coat and over-trousers, pilots flying suits and
ballistic/fragmentation vests.
