For the equine industry, Acacia has developed a system of fencing, truly
equipped for the harshest of Australian elements. It is a strained wire fencing system
designed to replace traditional post and rail and standard wire fencing, and to eliminate
the problems associated with each fencing style.
Unlike traditional timber post and rail, our equine fencing systems never needs painting,
won't deteriorate due to weather conditions and is unpalatable to horses. Although it
strains along the same principles as a wire fence, the high tensile galvanized steel wires
in the fence are wholly enclosed by a flexible plastic rail, preventing cuts and injuries to
precious livestock.
Acacia has manufactured equine fencing since the early 1980s, and installations can now be
found in all states of Australia. Of course, the product has come a long way since its
earliest days. The system itself has been upgraded many times. As we continually improve
and add practical components to the range, our equine fencing becomes more valuable to the
Australian equine industry.
Rails come in a range of widths, colours and raw material types to suit different budgets and
applications. Running rails and arenas are available, as well as fencing rails. Covers for star
pickets and posts have been added to create a complete fencing system. Brand new laminated fence
posts for arenas provide excellent aesthetics and uncompromised strength.
