Blockout Industries has received a favourable appraisal from the CSIRO. The appraisal shows how Blockout shutters can protect windows from blazing bushfires. Every shutter in the Blockout range meets the criteria for Levels 1, 2 and 3 construction. Blockout shutters satisfy the requirement for Level 3 construction for protecting window openings from radiant heat in a high-category bushfire as defined in AS 3959-1999 "Construction of Buildings in Bushfire-prone Areas."
