Methven shower and tapware hailed a success at DesignEx

Melbourne - 23 April 2007. Leading shower and tapware company, Methven has
hailed their attendance at designEX 2007 a success with an excellent mix of existing and
potential customers visiting the stand over the three-day event held at the Melbourne
Exhibition and Convention Centre from 19-21 April.
Methven Australia CEO Matthew Crichton said that designEX offers Methven an excellent
opportunity to showcase their new and existing range of products as well as demonstrating
their design potential with a sneak preview of upcoming releases.
"For Methven, designEX fulfils a number of agendas. The networking opportunity is invaluable,
but so too are the real business opportunities that this forum provides" says Matthew.
The prototype 'Tahi' shower which took centre stage on the Methven stand proved to be a real
'show stopper' much to the delight of Kent Sneddon, head of design who had travelled over
from his Auckland base for the event.
Kent said that it was great to see people's spontaneous reactions to a new product and to
this end, the designEX audience provided him with heartening and valuable market feedback
gathered in a very short space of time.
An on stand cocktail event complete with 'conceptual' performers drew the crowd early on
in the event which Methven used as an official preview of the 'Tahi' shower, the first in
a new and exciting range of high design, contemporary shower and tapware products that the
company will launch to the market later in the year and mark a design renaissance for the
121 year-old company.
