Sureshield resin based flooring is an industrial grade resin based flooring system that
has been designed for a wide range of industrial flooring applications. Sureshield resin
is blended with specially graded silica-quartz aggregates to produce a resin based
flooring system that is hard and durable, resistant to impact abrasion, thermal shock,
chemicals, non porous, hygienic and is easily cleaned.
Due to Sureshields excellent chemical resistance and hygienic properties Sureshield resin
based floor toppings are mainly used in the food, beverage and chemical manufacturing
industry such as: Breweries, chocolate factories, abattoirs, small goods manufacturing,
dairies and cheese makers, supermarkets, ablution facilities, canneries, bakeries, tanneries
and commercial kitchens.
Tom & Frank's All States is a food processing plant that provides fruit and vegetables for
Sydney's 5 star hotels.
They required an industrial resin based flooring system that is able to withstand the rigors
of pallets with nails protruding out, being unloaded and occasionally dragged across a wet
floor. The floor surface also had to contend with the destructive influence of fruit and
vegetable acids. Above all the industrial floor had to provide a safe working environment;
they therefore required a floor surface (that is constantly wet), with a high level of slip
resistance. The falls to drains was also vital to allow water to drain from food preparation
areas.
Sureshield industrial resin based floor topping is made for the toughest of working conditions.
As a flooring system it has filled all requirements for the Tom & Frank's food processing project.
Experienced resin based flooring applicators S.P.A. Contracts were able to lay the 1,500m2 of
resin based flooring to suit the construction programme. The preparation required the floor to
be divided into three areas: blue for the initial reception of fruit and vegetables (the floor
area most exposed to damage from pallets), green for fruit and vegetable processing and grey
for cooking.
