With its excellent mechanical strength, DOW Floormate™ 700 Avance insulation is an ideal heavy load-bearing material for most kind of floors, including those found in warehouses, parking areas, and residential and commercial buildings. DOW Floormate™ 700 Avance extruded polystyrene has ample performance characteristics for use as the thermal insulation layer in all floor types from housing to industrial buildings and cold stores. DOW Floormate™ 700 Avance can be installed under or over the slab in ground bearing concrete floors and is suitable for use on ground supported or suspended concrete floors. It may also be used on exposed or semi exposed intermediate concrete or timber floors. DOW Floormate™ 700 Avance extruded polystyrene is dimensionally stable, rot proof, will not attract vermin or insects and is resistant to most ground contaminants. When installed with the specified overlays, Floormate™ 700 Avance will remain effective as an insulating material for the life of the building in which they are incorporated. Though DOW Floormate™ 700 Avance is not a water vapour controlling layer, however, it will not allow moisture to cross the completed floor construction. DOW Floormate™ 700 Avance uses a CFC and HCFC free blowing agent and is free from ozone depleting gasses (Zero Ozone Depleting Potential - ODP), as used in the Bendigo Bank, Victoria project to meet the Green Star certification.
