The Marine Buoy Hanging Chair, rrp from $1,700

Deck's Marine Buoy Hanging Chair, the joyful contemporary design piece with classic marine references, highlights any outdoor space. Subtly swinging, the Mussell Buoy is effortlessly stunning, relaxing and fun.

Marine Buoy is part of the casual but ever-so-stylish outdoor lifestyle range of hard and soft furnishings and bags by Newport beach brand, deck.

Comprising of indoor/outdoor beanbags, an oversized ottoman -'the cube', carry-bags, and the new Marine Buoy hanging chair, deck takes its cues from Nautical design, quality and materials.

Deck owners, Virginia Steed and Annika Bennett originally devised the concept of their fun range of durable sailcloth products almost 2 decades ago while living in London, and it was not until Virginia moved to Sydney, and Annika to New Zealand that deck was finally born.

Determined to learn the intricacies of the aesthetics and functionality of nautical design, Steed and Bennett spent time in some of Australasia's leading sail lofts and chandleries. It was decided, like every sail, that each deck product would be uniquely individual, with sail numbers clearly defining the overall look of the brand, with striking results.

Each high-end, bespoke deck piece is handmade by world-class specialists in New Zealand, using both contemporary and recycled sail materials, leading to timeless style, and high durability.

Today the deck product range is sold across Australia and New Zealand as well as in Greece and Asia. deck is committed to a low carbon footprint and attempts to use local specialists suppliers whenever possible.
