Customised Acoustic Panels from Sontext

A common solution to noise problems such as reverberation (echo) or reflected sound, in an interior space is the installation of sound absorbing linings or panels on walls or ceilings, or both. If due consideration is given to the end use of the space, the severity of the problem and the predicted acoustic performance of the panel treatment, the result can mean a far more pleasant listening experience or working environment for the occupants.

The majority of Acoustic Panels installed are rectangular - commonly based on room dimensions, raw material sizes, etc. However, Sontext have shown it is also possible to add an extra decorative dimension to an interior space by thinking "outside the square".

Sontext have successfully manufactured custom-made, triangular or even asymmetrical Acoustic Panels for several projects designed by architects adventurous enough to think this way. Examples of "Serenity™" fabric covered acoustic panels and "Sonofonic™" painted sound absorbing panels, both manufactured by Sontext, are shown in the accompanying images.
