Acoustic Control Solution:

To capture the sound performance that was required by Victoria university, being able to decipher and distinguish the sounds you want to hear is a challenging task, yet imperative.

The balance required four different product types to achieve the contrasted, yet balanced sound ambiance:

  • Atkar Au.diSlot AS26-20/47 panels veneered
  • Au.diImage Rock Maple finish.
  • Atkar Au.diSlat AX48S
  • Atkar Au.diTouch custom in Laines acoustic fabric.

Atkar worked in close collaboration with the Architect and acoustic consultant to achieve the best design layout and configuration, rising to the challenge outlined in the detailed acoustic brief supplied by the university.

The project has become a staple of acoustic performance in Australia, and has been seen as a masterclass architectural art.
