JPS Coatings' product range is one of the largest and most trusted by the building and construction industries in Australia. Founded in 1988, JPS Coatings has become the industry leader in solid plastering and rendering for industrial, commercial and residential applications.
Through innovation, JPS Coatings continues to diversify their extensive catalogue of products and services. The JPS Coatings product range can be classified into six main categories:
JPS Coatings proudly presents dry mix renders from Cova-Wall® as the alternative to traditional sand and cement render. For the highest build, Supacote is the ideal choice. The cement based, polymer modified render containing washed and graded silica sand, light weight additives and proprietary additives. It is applied using a trowel and displays excellent adhesion to Clay and Concrete Brickwork, Concrete blocks, Concrete Pre-Cast Panels, Polystyrene Panels, AAC Panels (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) *Hebel® blocks / panels.
Ezi-Build, the cement based, polymer modified render is applied using a trowel or spray machine for excellent adhesion to brick and all masonry substrates, without the soft corners, shrinkage cracks and drumminess encountered with standard sand and cement renders. Ezi-Build exhibits high strength, water and weathering resistance, and lightweight insulating properties.
Pro Render also uses a cement based, polymer modified formula for adhesion to brick and masonry substrates with a trowel or spray machine. With durability, weather resistance and insulating properties, Pro Render deliver excellent performance in levelling walls and building up rough brick and blockwork, including racked brick. Pro Render is ideal for providing surfaces with abrasion before a final coat of texture.
Patch Ém-Up is a premixed performance formulated skim-coat render. It is a carefully controlled formulation consisting of washed silica sand, cement and various powder additives for excellent adhesive application properties conforming to AS 3972 with water resistant properties. Patch Em-Up has been specially developed for use on external/internal surfaces that require a rendered finish.
Polyboard functions as a cementitious base coat for low absorbency substrates, such as expanded polystyrene (EPS) and pre-coated polystyrene sheets. Polyboard is applied by hawk and trowel to a thickness between 2mm to 6mm to the surface from the bottom upwards in a single layer to the required thickness.
Fastwall is also formulated with cement, washed graded sand and powdered additives. The polymer-modified render is suitable for single or multi-coat application to all masonry substrates for internal and external use.
2. Polymer Renders
Polymer renders by JPS Coatings are specially designed for applications on green or blue fibro-cement sheeting; however it can be used as a skim coat over block work which is flush jointed just before applying texture coatings. The acrylic based patching compound is available in standard build with Polyrend Fine which covers up to 4mm in a single coat and high build with Polyrend Coarse which can cover surface blemishes and irregularities up to 6mm in a single coat.
3. Trowel-On Textures
JPS Coatings Trowel-on Texture is applied to the substrate after the dry mix render coat has cured for 7-10 days. The high build coating exhibits a semi-liquid paste consistency for easy application in single coats. JPS Coatings Trowel-on Texture is based on high-quality marble, superior to the sand base of traditional textures. Available in any available colour, "Elegance" Trowel-on Texture can be custom tinted or colour matched to your existing surface colour.
4. Roll-On Textures
JPS Coatings Roll-on Textures are similar to Trowel-on Textures in function. The difference lies in the method of application. Applicators who are more painters at heart can easily apply JPS Coatings Roll-on Textures to achieve the same outstanding results. Available in 15 litre pails, this product can also be computer-tinted to any desired colour or colour matched to your existing surface colour.
5. Primer
JPS Coatings Primer is designed to condition surfaces for unified substrate porosity. The water acrylic based coating maximises adhesion of prior render applications to maintain the polished appearance and finish of the entire system. JPS Coatings Primer adheres to off-form concrete, fibre-cement sheeting, glass-reinforced concrete, plasterboard and cement render.
6. Membrane
JPS Coatings Tex-Guard is the high build water based acrylic membrane that overcoats all textures in the JPS Coatings range. It provides extra layers of strength, durability, and resistance to water, pollution, chemicals, and other agents of weathering. In addition, Tex-Guard prevents cracking, flaking and chalking to ensure a consistent finish.
