Rather than moving the owners of this property (above) managed a complete makeover of the existing house. The results are stunning and to complete the picture an outdoor entertaining area featuring a spa, BBQ area and outdoor dining area were included in the plans. Where natural light and ventilation were of the up-most importance the Vergola system was installed. This rooftop apartment (below) is blessed with amazing panoramic views of the city of Sydney. This delightful aspect is unfortunately very exposed to the elements. The sun's rays cast over the windows and heat the apartment's interior from early afternoon until the sun sets in the evening. The challenge was finding a suitable product capable of withstanding very high winds and which could offer protection from the harsh sunlight without darkening the interior, The Vergola system was nominated as the ultimate choice in product being able to withstand and operate without any noise or deflections in winds up to 38 metres per second, which is technically hurricane speed, and provide the functionality and versatility needed for the project.
