A green house friendly alternative for fire resistant enclosures or low-cost dwellings
These light-weight, fire resistant, ceramic wall panels are ideal for applications in areas where skilled
trades, such as bricklayers, are not available and a secure enclosure is required to be built within a
few days. Each panel measures 2800mm x 600mm.
The cavity wall panels are easy to saw, nail, screw and install, resist dampness and decay and do not
contain asbestos, cement, ammonia or formaldehyde. They are also non toxic, waterproof, soundproof and
insect-proof.
The panels have a fire rating in excess of 3½ hours and can withstand temperatures over 1000°C.
Once installed, they boast a life expectancy in excess of 40 years - and provide superior thermal performance
thereby reducing CO² emissions.
Their manufacturing process also helps to protect the environment. Because they are manufactured at room
temperature they generate 80%-90% less CO² than portland cement. This helps to reduce global warming
and saves energy. The manufacturing process also sequesters CO² into product.
For exterior applications the tongue and groove panels are normally held in position by steel beams, with
a channel beam at the top and bottom. Once placed in position, the panels can be further reinforced by filling
the cavities with soil, a sand and cement slurry or steel bars.
