Markilux awnings - bionic tendons in the folding element makes them the strongest
Markilux has unveiled the latest innovations in sun shading solutions,
the Markilux 6000 Cocoon and a new range of Swela SNC (Swela Nano Clean) fabrics. A
result of extensive research and development in Germany, the Markilux 6000 Cocoon
features a 'bionic tendon' in the folding element of the awning arm.
This bionic tendon can hold up to 1.2 tonne, making the Markilux 6000 Cocoon stronger
than any other awning, it also ensures friction-free, noiseless bending of the 100 per
cent corrosion resistant folding-arms. Awning cassettes are powder-coated with a new
technology that resists particles of dirt to the surface making it even easier to
maintain. New colours and finishes of awning end caps and cassettes, plus optional
down-lights, automatic shade-plus, remote and sensor controls make the Markilux 6000
Cocoon a must for commercial and residential applications. Complementing this new
awning is the Swela SNC silky high-tech fabric. It has a self-cleaning 'finish' that
enables the fabric cover to permanently repel dirt, grease, oil and water, which not
only ensures its long lasting radiant colour but also a low maintenance awning for life.
