Thermobreak hot & cold pipe insulation from Youngbo Australia

Product Features

  • Closed Cell - Will not absorb water should condensation occur.
  • Factory Bonded Foil - Foil is thermally bonded, it will not delaminate with time as can potentially happen with glued foils.
  • Tough & Flexible - Formshield SPI is tough, durable, but flexible which allows quick installation in tight and restricted places.
  • Good Compression - Tough, robust, yet flexible foam. Formshield will not compress during the life of the installation.
  • Impermeable to Water Vapour - Formshield SPI has a low level of water vapour transmission due to the tight molecular structure of the foil and the nature of the closed cell foam.
  • Outdoor Use - The UV resistant foil used in Formshield SPI allows the product to be used in outdoor applications.
  • Non Fibrous - Formshield SPI does not emit dust or fibres, and will not cause itchiness, so no special gloves or masks are required.

Benefits for Installers
The tough, 2 meter flexible foam allows for installation in restricted areas and the 2 meter length reduces the number of joins. Each section is pre-slit, just open and slip over the pipe. The foam will close easily to allow quick and easy application of the foil tape. The robust nature of the foam and foil makes "mitering" easy. A sharp long blade knife is all that is needed. The tube will not collapse when cut, ensuring a neat accurate cut.

The flexibility of the tube allows compression but ensures it will return to it original size.

Tip: Cut the foam tube 15 - 20 mm longer than the distance between blocks, slip the foam over the pipe, compress and let it expand onto the blocs. This will ensure a tight seal between blocks and insulation. No more "shaving of the insulation to fit the gap. Building Site "house keeping" is reduced due to the clean, no mess nature of the product, once again contributing to reduced labour and associated costs.

Complies with BCA and Australian Standards
